Halle Berry Marries Power Dressing With Sheer Trend for Her Latest Lingerie-inspired Look

Halle Berry brought back her lingerie-inspired style for a night out in New York City on Tuesday. The Oscar-winning “Monster’s Ball” actress styled a look reminiscent of a red carpet dress she wore in August 2024 for a premiere.

For her night out in NYC, Berry opted for a sheer black dress beneath a pin-striped blazer. The actress’ blazer featured long sleeves and sharp, angular lapels and a collar. The pinstripe featured a muted white tone set against the black base fabric.

Berry’s dress featured a sheer skirt with ornate lace detailing at the hemline, which fell just below the knee. The actress paired the look with a statement chain necklace and coordinated small hoop earrings to complete the ensemble.

As for her glam, Berry’s chocolate brown tresses were styled with a side part and waves, featuring a few strands to frame her face. Her makeup included bold brows, a touch of a smoky eye and a glossy lip. The last time Berry styled such a confident, lingerie-inspired look was when she attended “The Union” premiere in August. The actress wore a lace and sheer dress courtesy of La Perla, which featured a plunging neckline, allover lace detailing and sheer sleeves for a sensual take on red carpet dressing.

Apart from her acting and filmmaking career, Berry’s recently turned her attention and used her platform to focus on women’s sexual health and wellness. She recently relaunched her brand respin to focus on women experiencing perimenopause and menopause.

“It’s a new spin on what this is and what this means to women’s health, what this means to a woman, what this time of life means, and what it can be all about — it definitely needs a re-spin,” Berry told WWD’s Beauty Inc., referencing her rebranded venture Respin Health.

Berry told WWD’s Beauty Inc. how underprepared she felt to confront menopause — even convincing herself she could skip it all together. “I thought I was going to miss it, and I thought if I could miss it…if I could skip it, that would be the best thing I could do for myself, because I don’t want to be seen as old or I don’t want to be washed up,” she said.

“I don’t want my industry to forget me and tell me I don’t have a place, that I don’t have worth, that I can’t continue to work and do the things I love…I was as afraid of it as anybody else, but because I had so little information about it, I thought I’m going to be a person that can skip it.”

Berry has been a vocal advocate for research on women’s health and wellness, particularly at the age of menopause.
