Harris Dickinson is heating up the screen with co-star Nicole Kidman in their new film, Babygirl, which has left fans wondering what his romantic life is like offscreen. The British actor has been with musician Rose Gray for a very long time, but they tend to keep things low-key. Both Dickinson and Gray’s profiles are on the rise, meaning it might get harder to stay out of the spotlight.

Here is everything we know about Gray and the couple’s relationship history so far.

Who is Rose Gray?

Like Dickinson, Gray was born and raised in East London, and she went to a performing arts high school to develop her voice. And like her partner, she is creative.

She told The Face in 2022, 'I was actually born in a paddling pool in my parents’ flat in Muswell Hill, London. Then I moved six months later to Walthamstow, and that’s where I was raised. I decided to move out [of my parents’], but still live in Walthamstow.'

In a 2019 interview with Paye, she shared that she has two siblings, and her mother is from East London. Growing up, she would often work on music with her stepdad. She said, 'I don’t think many children are that good when they’re mad young but my stepdad, my pops, he can really sing, and he used to sort of like… not give me lessons, but we’d put a song on and he’d be like "try this little riff," and I’d try and sing like the artist.'

Gray released her debut mixtape in 2021, Dancing, Drinking, Thinking, Talking. Her 2024 EP, Higher Than the Sun, received considerable praise, according to The Sun. She released her debut album, Louder, Please, on January 17, 2025. While working on her music, Gray lived an eclectic life and even worked in the famous nightclub, Fabric, according to a September 2024 interview she did with Vogue.

'I hope I’ve made the kind of record that me and my best mates would absolutely play until we’re all sick of it,' she said of Louder, Please. 'Getting ready, going out, getting dolled up for a festival. But I also hope it’s something that people can listen to when they’re traveling to work. I don’t think it’s just a party or a club record. Everyone I’ve played the record to has a different favorite song, which I think is a good thing.'

In 2021, she told Enfnts Terribles that she’s 'wanted to be a pop star since I was twelve.'

She added, 'In my late teens, I went quite jazzy and wanted to be more indie, but now I’ve come to the realisation that pop actually is just popular music. Someone described me as an indie rave pop star…I’m into that!'

Two of Gray’s music videos, 'Blue' and 'Afraid of Nothing,' were actually directed by Dickinson.

In a 2023 interview with Hunger Magazine that included Dickinson, Gray talked about her big touring plans.

'I’m hoping to do lots more shows next year,' she said. 'And I’ve got some potential exciting features as well. I’m just finishing the album, which is my favourite part of being a musician, just being in the studio. Especially now it’s getting colder!'

Dickinson shared a bit about how they work together.

'Rose is always playing her music, unfinished versions,' he said. 'And when I write, I sometimes write with music as well. I feel like music often inspires you, inspires ideas, and inspires direction. Regardless of whether I would make it, I’m always thinking, "This would be a good video idea for that song."'

He also explained how their relationship dynamic plays into it.

'It’s also testing for a relationship because you’ve got to open yourself up to a different kind of dynamic. But it definitely helps with the closeness because you can get to things quicker without that sense of carefulness and trepidation around being offensive,' he said. 'We’re so close that we can just be very direct. And I think she was the same with me, where if I had a crap idea, she’d say, "No, we’re not doing that."'

Gray added, 'Harris brought an element of chaos and rawness that I’ve never had before in a video. I was able to lose myself completely. I love a pop girlie video, but Harris brought the cinema.'

How long have they been together?

Dickinson also grew up in East London and was born in Leytonstone. The pair met in school and began dating during their time there. While they don’t make too many public appearances considering how long they’ve been together, they do occasionally pop up in one another’s Instagram posts.

And in her interview with The Face, she mentioned they share a cat.

'Misty Blue. He’s my child. He’s two-and-a-half, and I got him just before lockdown, so he’s glued to me,' she explained.
