It’s been our dream ever since we can remember to be a wizard of witch, to get our Hogwarts letter, and learn magic IRL. We know deep down that the world of Harry Potter is fiction (but is it?), but we can’t help but spend most of our time either doing some wizarding cosplay, re-reading J.K. Rowling’s magical books, watching the movies, and practicing our spells with our wands.

That’s why when we learned the following we were SO SO SO excited: There’s going to be a Harry Potter virtual reality game.

As Mashable reports, Google plans to bring the Wizarding World of J.K. Rowling to life with their latest smartphone and virtual reality headset, Daydream.

During a live stream, the technology corporation announced their latest smartphone, the Pixel, which is exclusive to Verizon, along with a $79 VR headset, Daydream, that’ll work exclusively with the phone.

The Daydream joins Sony’s Playstation VR as the latest virtual reality headset to hit the market. However, Google have also bagged the exclusive rights to an adventure set in the world of the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, which is released on November 18th.

In the game, you get to explore around various magical locations with your wand (which is actually the Daydream’s remote control).

You can also explore Newt Scamander’s suitcase, which we suspect is going to play a big role in Fantastic Beasts

Okay, so while this might not fulfil our actual livelong dreams of scurrying around Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, it does give you the opportunity to turn into a witch or wizard and play around with casting spells. We can totally see ourselves practicing alohomora (swish and flick).

Currently, Mashable claims that there are no plans to turn the rest of the Wizarding World into a VR experience, but we’re pretty sure that this MUST be on the cards, right? How many people would pledge allegiance to Voldemort just to get a taste of what it’s like to really attend Hogwarts?

Until then, however, we’re SO excited to see what it’s like to really be a witch or wizard when the Google Daydream VR is released in November.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theatres on November 18th.
