Hellmann’s Has a New Mayo in Stores

Fans are already "obsessed."

In her taste test of store-bought mayonnaise brands, chef and dietician Breana Lai Killeen, M.P.H., RD, was most impressed with Hellman’s as the best for sandwiches. She noted it’s "extremely versatile and isn’t too overpowering in flavor or texture,” so it’s perfect for spreading on a sandwich.

Some people prefer their mayo to have a little more power, and Hellman’s just created a mayo for them. Partnering with chili lime seasoning Tajín, it recently introduced a new Chili Lime Mayonnaise Dressing made with Tajín Clásico seasoning.

If you’re unfamiliar with Tajín, it’s a seasoning blend of chile peppers, lime, and sea salt with mild heat and a hint of zesty lime. It’s excellent as a cocktail rim or sprinkled on fruit salad, air-fried sweet potatoes, or elote. It can even spice up a Jell-O shot.

The popular seasoning is readily available in grocery stores. You could mix a little into your existing mayo or keep the bottle of Hellmann’s Chili Lime Mayonnaise Dressing in your fridge for convenience when you want a little more power in your mayo.

Fans Are Already "Obsessed" with Hellmann’s New Mayo

When Hellmann’s asked its Instagram followers which of the new flavors they love (there’s also a new chipotle mayo and Italian mayo), the most passionate response was from someone who had tried the Chili Lime mayo.

"Finally got my hands on the Tajín Chili Lime and of course it's everything I could've imagined IM OBSESSED," wrote one fervent chili lime lover.

We already know the chili lime flavor of Tajín works. Hellmann's says this flavored mayo can enhance burgers, French fries (as a dip), BLTs, and the usual sandwich salads that use mayo, such as egg salad, tuna salad, or chicken salad.

There are endless ways to use this new Tajín-enhanced mayo, but since Hellmann's suggested using the Chili Lime Mayonnaise Dressing as a French fry dip, we'll be trying it on that first!
