Everything We Know So Far About Reformation's Major Black Friday Sale
Reformation's Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are, without a doubt, our favourites here at ELLE UK. Because while the sustainable brand is partial to a standard end-of-season clearance every now and again, there's nothing quite like a site-wide discount to ensure you can actually secure your size in the pieces you've been lusting after all season long.
Last year, everything on Reformation's site was marked down by 25%, including the brand's fabulous formalwear, insider-favourite denim and pieces loved by the likes of Kaia Gerber and Emily Ratajkowski. The sale kicked off on Black Friday and lasted the full weekend through to midnight on Cyber Monday – and while exact details haven't yet been confirmed for the event in 2024, we're expecting something similar this time around.
So, mark your diaries now: Black Friday 2024 falls on November 29, with the sales likely to last until December 2.

What even is Black Friday?
Black Friday was originally an American holiday, thought to be kick-started by department store Macy’s in the 1930s. The annual event didn't get its name until later on, however, when it grew in popularity during the 1980s.
Decades later, in 2010, the UK started cashing in on the shopping event, too. The first pancake? Amazon, of course: the e-tailer began offering customers online discounts and deals on the same day as the sales in the US. A few years later, in 2013, Asda gave the event a whirl in-store – you might remember stories about physical fights over TVs, which gave Black Friday an understandably bad rep among Brits.
It didn't stop us shopping, though, and retailers couldn't resist the money-making potential of a pre-Christmas sale. Fast-forward to 2024, and Black Friday has become a bigger deal than Boxing Day, sales-wise – and most high-street stores and luxury retailers take part.

Even though stores are set to be open this Black Friday, most of us still do our shopping online.
