Hi, Hello, Here's How Bachelor Joey Graziadei Reacted to Sisters Competing on His Season
If there's one thing I've learned as the youngest of four siblings, it's that sharing isn't as simple as it seems. We've all stolen clothes from our sisters' closets before (sorry to mine who are reading this—I probably still have a Going Out Top™️ sitting somewhere in my apartment), but boyfriends? Those are usually off-limits. However, in the rare case of Allison and Lauren on season 28 of The Bachelor, the Philly-based sisters are competing to win the heart of one Joey Graziadei.
So many questions are swirling in the minds of Bachelor Nation, like... did they fill out their applications together? Did the producers think season 28 would birth a complex sibling rivalry á la The Summer I Turned Pretty's love triangle? How does Joey feel about all this? Luckily, we actually have an answer to that last question.
"It's a difficult situation," Joey told Us Weekly of the sisters' involvement in the show. "I obviously put two and two together on my own when I was in the whole process of it because I could tell how much they had similar stories. They obviously look alike too."
He continued, "For me, it was always I was gauging my energy off of theirs, so I was trying to make sure they were OK and if they were comfortable with it, even though they knew it was going to be a little awkward, I was going to be as comfortable as I could. The whole situation is weird, dating that many women at once. When you add that wrinkle too, it's still going to be weird. But I think that what I try to do is just follow their lead."
ICYMI, Allison scored a kiss with Joey (!) and the first rose (!!!) on night one:
And her older sis made a stellar first impression when she stepped out of the limo and shotgunned a beer with the Bachelor. While Lauren was called last during the rose ceremony, Joey gave her major props for the beer as he knows "how much pressure is put on" the girls' entrances. "I love the shotgun. I'm a guy that likes to have fun. I'm standing there for a long period of time. I get little water breaks here and there, but that was a good little refresher to chug a beer. So I think Lauren took the cake with that one. That was a fun idea," Joey told Us.
Sisters sharing the same guy? A little weird (like dating 32 women at the same time, per Joey's point), but at least it makes for good entertainment. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
