In a set of photos to Instagram stories, Duff posed in a black one piece swimsuit with her daughter on her hip. The “Younger” star accessorized her look with gold necklaces, hoop earrings and kept her blonde hair pulled into a high ponytail.

Duff captioned the post “Instagram” before sharing a second photo of the pair, which accurately captures her “reality.” In the followup snap, a visibly flustered Duff holds onto Banks, who’s covered in paint.

The photo is just one of many Duff has shared to social media that encapsulates the raw and real realities of motherhood.

Earlier this year, Duff shared a photo of herself exasperated during quarantine, imbibing in a White Claw while acting as a teacher for her 8-year-old son, Luca.

In a separate post, Duff shared a selfie of herself and daughter Banks in the bathtub, with the star’s makeup running down her face.

“One more day down!” she wrote. “To every parent out there, we are lucky to be healthy. Also, damn these days are long .”

Despite shutdown, Duff has been actively helping moms in need through her natural baby care company, Happy Little Camper.

The company donated a warehouse full of baby products, including diapers and wipes to Baby2Baby, a charity that supports mothers and children living in poverty.
