Hilton Head and Beaufort area Thanksgiving: Free meals and restaurants offering dinner
Thanksgiving is less than a week away, and if you haven’t decided where you will eat turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce and hopefully a piece of pie, or two, there are options throughout Beaufort County.
Community meals
The Lowcountry community has a long history of taking care of one another, especially when it comes to helping provide a home-cooked meal on Thanksgiving Day. These free, community-style events have been taking place for decades both north and south of the Broad River thanks to hundreds of volunteers, and this year is no exception.

The church service begins at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at that church at 505 Church Street, and from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., a turkey dinner will be served at the Parish Hall at 507 Newcastle Street.
