Huge menu at new MS Coast restaurant has sushi and hibachi, vegetarian and kids’ meals
The new Fuji Hibachi Grill & Sushi Express menu is so large, it has more than 125 choices for those who like classic sushi, deep fried rolls, hibachi and even seafood boils.
Fuji just opened at 11340 U.S. 49, Gulfport, near the Winn-Dixie, convenient for those who live north of I-10.
It previously was a Cajun seafood restaurant. A makeover gave the building a look much more in line with the brand.
Sushi rolls are on this menu of a dozen classic rolls, along with another dozen cooked rolls and 17 more chef’s special rolls.
Given its location north of the interstate, Fuji’s I-10 Roll might become a specialty. It combines tuna, salmon and yellowtail inside and is topped topped with white tuna, avocado and masago.
Adventurous eaters will find unusual dishes to try, like squid salad, crazy jalapeno with spicy mayonnaise and eel sauce and taro milkshakes.
More traditional choices are coconut chicken or shrimp, steak fried rice and a dozen hibachi dinners or combinations served all day.
The menu features lots of vegetarian dishes and selections for those who are eating low carb or other special diets.
A seafood sampler of shrimp, crawfish and crab leg highlights the boiled seafood menu, and Fuji offers hibachi chicken, shrimp or steak for the kids.
Lunch specials served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and start at $8.95 for hibachi vegetable.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, until 9:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 10:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Customers can order online or delivery is available through third party services.
