When are Kansas City area grocery stores open for Christmas? Here are holiday hours

If you run out of rolls or hot chocolate for Christmas, you might need to make a run to a Kansas City area grocery store. But are any open on late on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

Be sure to get your groceries before the Chiefs kick off in Pittsburgh at noon on Dec. 25, because there will be only one grocery store chain open Christmas Day.

Various grocery stores will be open Dec. 24 on both the Missouri and Kansas sides, including Overland Park, Olathe, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs and Lenexa.

When do KC grocery stores close Christmas Eve?

Save A Lot is the only Kansas City area grocery store chain open on Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, Kansas City area locations will close at 9 p.m. Here are their Christmas Day hours.

Blue Ridge Boulevard, Truman Road and North Kansas City locations open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Christmas Day
Overland Park open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Day
Troost Avenue open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Day
Neither Kansas City, Kansas, location responded to requests for holiday hours.
