Ice Spice Says Ben Affleck Is a 'Very Comforting Person' After Collaborating on Their Dunkin’ Commercial

The rapper told ‘Variety’ what it was like working with the seasoned actor on their Dunkin' commercial

Ice Spice has nothing but praise for Ben Affleck.

The rapper — who costarred in a Dunkin' commercial with Affleck earlier this year — told Variety in a TikTok for her cover story about the process of working together. The ad, directed by Affleck, launched her Ice Spice Munchkins Drink with Dunkin'.

“Ben Affleck is a very, very comforting person to be directed by,” she said. “He’s just been in it for so long that I just felt very secure working with him.”

The VMA-winner reiterated that she felt “comfortable” with Affleck, telling Variety that he “guided it well.”

The rapper then revealed a funny tidbit: “He had his Batman figure, or whatever, like, in his office,” she said of Affleck, who has played Bruce Wayne in multiple films including Batman v Superman. “That was fire.”

Ice Spice (real name Isis Naija Gaston) rose to fame with her song "Munch (Feelin' U)," which went viral on TikTok. She also gained popularity through her collaborations with PinkPantheress on "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2"; with Nicki Minaj on "Princess Diana" and "Barbie Girl"; and with Taylor Swift on a "Karma" remix.

In September, the artist starred in a Dunkin' commercial with Affleck to unveil her new drink with the donut chain.

In the commercial, which premiered during the MTV Video Music Awards, Affleck begins by explaining, “They made me brand ambassador.”

Then, the commercial cuts to Affleck and Ice Spice sitting across from one another in an office.

“We’ve got to come up with a drink name, but it’s not easy, right?” Affleck says to the musician before asking, “How are people going to connect you with Dunkin’?”

“I’m a Dunkin’ girl,” Ice Spice responds. “Ice Spice? My fans are the ‘Munchkins,’” she continues, trying to thread the needle for Affleck.

“Where are you going with this,” a confused Affleck asks before the rapper simply replies, “Ice Spice Munchkins drink.”

The Ice Spice Munchkins Drink blends together the chain’s frozen coffee with a few pumpkin Munchkins. The drink is then topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle. The blended Munchkins give the drink a cookies and cream like texture, according to a release.

The ad was produced by Affleck's company Artists Equity.
