The Iconic Hollywood Sign’s 100th Anniversary Inspires Gender-neutral Fragrance Collection

In celebration of the iconic Hollywood sign’s 100th anniversary, Vince Spinnato and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce debuted a fragrance set on Friday that captures the essence of Hollywood.

“I have already had the honor of developing fragrances for icons, so it made perfect sense to create these custom scents for a city and landmark that’s associated with so many great artists, and performers,” Spinnato said in a statement.

Spinnato’s gender-neutral fragrances, dubbed Hollywood Sunrise and Hollywood Sunset, come with distinct aromas. Hollywood Sunset, retailing for $40, includes notes of golden mandarin blossom, accentuated by a bouquet of florals and a bronzed vanilla base.

While the Hollywood Sunrise and Hollywood Sunset fragrances are available individually, the two perfumes also come in a duo set. The travel-size set of the Hollywood fragrances are available for $50 on Macys.com and the official Hollywood fragrance website.

Spinnato’s collaboration with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce commemorates 100 years of the famous Hollywood landmark. Originally erected in 1923, the Hollywood sign was initially the “Hollywoodland” sign, promoting the name of a housing development above Los Angeles, in the hills of Hollywood. The term “land” was ultimately removed from the “Hollywoodland” sign in 1949. Over the last century, the sign has become synonymous with the motion picture industry.

Spinnato has worked with a number of Hollywood stars in collaboration on various fine fragrances, colognes and perfumes. Spinnato’s clients include Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, Michael Jordan, and Gwen Stefani, among others.

The Hollywood Fragrance set comes just in time for spring, a season in which fruit perfumes are the trend to watch. Fragrances laced with compositions of fruit are already among brands like By/ Rosie Jane and Nette.
