I typically spend the time between November and April slathering on even more body cream than usual — and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that. It's officially Dry Skin Season, and I like my whole body to feel basted with moisturizers to guard against the parching effects of indoor heat blasting 24/7.

My latest body cream obsession comes courtesy of Pharrell — or at least his skin-care company, Humanrace. I recently dipped into a tub of the brand's Humidifying Body Cream, and it became an instant favorite. The fluffy, frosting-like formula is thick yet airy and surprisingly lightweight. It melts into skin, leaving a slight sheen and long-lasting moisture, but absolutely zero greasiness.

The whole idea behind the cream is that it's made with "face-grade ingredients to encourage you to care for your body just as you would your face," according to the brand. So it's spiked with bakuchiol (often touted as nature's retinol), snow mushroom extract (a hydrating ingredient that deeply penetrates skin), shea butter (a rich moisturizer) and peptides (to firm and smooth skin). I also love that it's unscented, so it doesn't impede any of my other fragrance plans for the day, and comes in an easy-to-open, refillable jar.
