IKEA Is Bringing Back This 164-Year-Old Holiday Trend for Just $1.29
The holiday season is always nostalgic, from the food to the family time to the decorations. And now even IKEA is amping up the nostalgic vibes with a new pack of DIYable ornaments that you can get for just over $1.
IKEA’s heart-shaped paper ornaments from its VINTERFINT holiday collection are inspired by the classic Scandinavian woven hearts, which have been made and displayed during the Christmas season since at least the mid-19th century. In fact, it’s said that fairy-tale author Hans Christian Andersen may have created the first-ever woven heart!
The cool thing about these ornaments is that they can be opened and used as baskets to store small pieces of candy, wishes, or little gifts while being displayed on the tree.
