IKEA Quietly Released a New Storage Gem That’s Perfect for Small Spaces

Too much storage space is just not a thing. If you’re a collector, crafter, or gatherer of ingredients, tools, hobbies, and more, then you could always use a bit more space to house your stuff. And I just discovered a new IKEA utility cart that will help you do just that — and look good doing it.

IKEA’s LOSHULT cart features three tiers of shelves, each with side walls to keep your things in place. It measures just 32.25” tall by 15” wide, so it takes up minimal space in any room. In fact, you’ll find so many uses for this that you might have to get one for every room in your house. And luckily, the LOSHULT is just under $50, so you can do so without totally breaking the bank.

Made of solid pine that can either be left as is, stained, or painted, the minimalist LOSHULT glides seamlessly across your floor, thanks to the four attached heavy-duty casters (which also lock when you need the cart to stay in place).

Use the LOSHULT cart in the kitchen for storing dry ingredients or coffee essentials; in your mudroom or entryway to organize outdoor accessories, mail, and keys; in your office for paperwork, notebooks, and electronics; or as a mobile craft station. You could even turn it into an indoor gardening and planting bench if you’re someone with a green thumb! Either way, each shelf can support up to 13 pounds (with a maximum 40-pound load) and the walled design keeps all your items in place, but still easily accessible.

Because it’s made of unfinished wood that’s just lightly lacquered, it’s best to keep the LOSHULT inside and out of the bathroom to avoid moisture. Otherwise, warping and mold may be an issue. Aside from that, though, this cart can go pretty much anywhere you need it to.

Pick up the new IKEA LOSHULT cart to give yourself even more storage — even in tight spaces, whether it’s nestled in a kitchen corner or stationed next to your desk. It’s honestly so handy, it’ll be impossible to have just one!
