Inside Tom Holland’s ‘Very Romantic’ Holiday Proposal To Zendaya
After years of dating and admiring each other publicly, Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged, sources close to the couple confirmed to TMZ. Zendaya debuted her diamond engagement ring from Holland at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
TMZ also got a few details on how, where, and when Holland popped the question to his longtime partner; Holland and Zendaya have been dating since 2021.

The sources said that the actor proposed between Christmas and New Year 'in one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States'. The moment was just between the two of them and was 'very romantic and intimate'. He 'didn’t make a huge show of the engagement,' nor was it 'a big, over-the-top proposal', the outlet wrote.
The sources added that, due to Holland and Zendaya’s busy schedules, 'it will be a bit before they dip into wedding planning'.
Sources close to the couple also told TMZ that Holland got Zendaya’s father’s blessing months before proposing. The delay was just because Holland 'was waiting for the right moment' to ask his partner to marry him.
Zendaya kept quiet when a Los Angeles Times reporter asked her at the Golden Globes if Holland had indeed proposed. The journalist was recently engaged herself and held her ring up and pointed to it while Zendaya was leaving the ceremony ballroom.
The outlet wrote that Zendaya 'responded by flashing her own bling on her left hand, doing a sort of jazz-fingers motion'. The reporter then asked, 'Are you engaged?'
In response, Zendaya 'kept showing her ring, smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously'.
The big news has been a long time coming for the couple. In April 2024, a source told People, 'There has been talk of marriage, and that is a reality.'
Even then, the source suggested they wouldn’t make a big announcement for any of their milestones: 'They are not the kind of stars who put their lives together out there on social media for the most part. Both are private. [The attention fame brings them] has never been easy or comfortable for either of them.'
