Inside the VIP Opening Party for ‘Giants: Art From the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys’
Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz invited their friends and family to toast the opening of “Giants” at the Brooklyn Museum on Tuesday night.
The exhibition, which opens to the public on Saturday, is the first major showcase of artwork from the couple’s impressive personal collection. Championing the work of contemporary Black artists, the couple’s collection includes work by Gordon Parks, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Lorna Simpson, Derrick Adams, Kehinde Wiley and Ebony G. Patterson. Many of the artists featured in the exhibition — like Nina Chanel Abney, Mickalene Thomas, and Toyin Ojih Odutola — were on hand for the VIP preview.
