Irina Shayk’s backless metallic maxi plunges allllllll the way past her bum

Fashion month may herald a whole host of new seasonal trends, but one look that's going nowhere anytime soon is naked dressing. Yep, loved by all our favourite celebrities and seen on many a red carpet over the past year, a naked dress is a guaranteed way to make a statement. Not an easy task when Hollywood's best dressed are all in attendance.

Florence Pugh is undoubtedly queen of the style. Who could forget the actress iconically freeing the nip in that totally transparent hot pink tulle Valentino gown, and the unwarranted backlash that followed? Other stars have followed suit, with the likes of Doja Cat recently rocking a sheer mesh crop top and Lourdes Leon going braless under a spider web mini dress.

But amongst the see-through ensembles, we've noticed a new naked trend emerging in the form of backless designs that show off the wearer's derriere. Consider Irina Shayk's most recent Instagram post exhibit A.

Opening the Mowalola SS24 show at London Fashion Week modelling a metallic chrome maxi dress, Irina took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes snaps from the event. Including a look at the rear of her stunning 'fit. Not only was the halterneck gown totally backless, the back plunged so low it actually revealed the top of her bum. The XL cut-out also spanned the sides of the dress, showing plenty of side-boob.

It's the second time in a week we've seen a bum-cleavage dress, as they've been coined. Nelly Furtado donned a similarly revealing design to attend the VMAs with Zendaya having posed in the exact same backless dress for Elle's September issue.

Back in January, Emily Ratajkowski wore a Barbie pink Versace gown that featured a *very* low dipped back with a cowl neckline. In a TikTok video that she also shared on Instagram, Emily can be seen walking off-set in the dress that showed off her entire back and also gave a glimpse at the top of her derrière.

We're calling it now, cue the return of the belfie.
