Jaeger-LeCoultre's New Reverso (Tribute Monoface Small Seconds) is Very, Very Gold
As I say to my fiancée when she loads on the Fenty Trophy Wife (a “highlighter”, whatever that is): nothing beats gold.
Someone at Jaeger-LeCoultre clearly agrees, if the latest Reverso (Tribute Monoface Small Seconds) being shown off this week at Watches and Wonders is anything to go by. It features a golden-hued dial and a “18k pink gold” case and bracelet, but the “pink” is subtle, almost silent – something like the 2018 MacBooks.
The dedication to the precious metal completely accentuates the timepiece's vintage, Gatsby-esque feel. It's quite the vibe switch from the OG model, created in 1931 for the “sporting gentleman” of the polo field.
With this 2025 iteration, a grained dial with indexes (rather than numerals) and a Milanese link bracelet (a strap type enjoying a revival) rid the form of any athletic aura.
