Jagmeet Singh announces second baby on the way with wife Gurkiran Kaur
The couple welcomed their first child, now one-year-old daughter Anhad, in January 2022.
Jagmeet Singh and Gurkiran Kaur are growing their family.
On Thursday, the leader of Canada's New Democratic Party (NDP), announced that he and his wife are expecting their second child.
Singh shared the exciting news with an Instagram photo posing next to Kaur, who showed off her baby bump in a stunning white dress.
The couple welcomed their first child, Anhad, in January 2022.
"[Gurkiran Kaur] and I would like to officially announce that Anhad just got the biggest promotion of her life… she’s going to be a big sister!," Singh quipped.
"We couldn’t be happier to welcome baby number two," the new dad added.
In the comments, fans congratulated the couple on their big news.
"So sweet. Congratulations on your growing family," an Instagram user wrote, while another shared: "That is fabulous news, Sir. I wish your beautiful wife an easy and healthy pregnancy. Congratulations to your sweet little family."
"This is great news!" a follower added.
"I'm so happy for you all," commented another.
One person penned: "Such a beautiful photo! Congratulations to you all."
Kaur announced her pregnancy through her own Instagram as well, admitting she is anticipates two children will be a handful.
"Anhad is going to be a big sister! We are so excited for baby number two. Can’t wait for our little family to grow," she captioned the same family photo.
She then added in the comments: "Ok, but also… two kids... send help."
Kaur's followers were quick to show their support.
"Two is easier than one! They'll keep each other busy," one replied.
"You got this, mama! Congratulations to you and Jagmeet on your beautiful growing family," another chimed in.
"So happy for you! And your dress is stunning [by the way]," someone else commented.
