Reality star Jamie Otis gets candid about what 'real married life with kids' looks like

Jamie Otis is getting real about what "married life" looks like after having kids.

On Monday, the 35-year-old "Married At First Sight" star shared a video showing off what her marriage to Doug Hehner looked like "before and after" having children. The pair share a five-year-old daughter, Henley, and a two-year-old son, Hendrix.

The "before" photo shows Otis and Hehner embracing, while the "after" photo shows their daughter sleeping horizontally between them in their bed, "at about 3 a.m."

"Real married life with kids. The 'after' pic was taken last night at about 3 a.m. Henley still climbs in bed with us every single night," Otis captioned the post for her more than 850,000 followers.

"I wouldn’t trade the life we’ve built for the whole world, though!" she added. "I know this stage doesn’t last forever and they say we’ll miss these days when they’re older so I’m soaking it all up — feet in my face and all! Does anyone else have similar before and afters?!"

Otis's video was met with a warm response from fans who found the message "painfully relatable."

"Painfully relatable. Thanks for sharing. I love your transparency, as always!" one Instagram user commented, while another wrote: "Looks about right!"

"Relatable!" someone else chimed in.

"Holy crap, yes! I haven’t had decent sleep in two years because my youngest just won’t leave our bed. But it’s ok I know the day will come when she does go to her own room and ill get the feeling on my back," another shared. "We just gotta enjoy these painful moments."

"That’s the right attitude, mama. Savour these moments and smile," wrote another.

Otis is known for her honesty on social media when it comes to her family life. Last month she opened up about her son, Hendrix, giving fans an update on his health.

The reality star shared a video opening up about her 2-year-old son's febrile seizures, in hopes of helping other moms "going through" the same thing.

"Hendrix boy had a good appointment today at the neurology office," Otis began. "We're going to have an EEG done just to kind of have a baseline and you know, this is the third night that he's spiked a fever."

"I am like, kind of like, at my wits' end to be very honest, and I just wanted to come on and say thank you so very, very, very much for all of your well-wishes and positive vibes, and in your prayers. Thank you so much for thinking about us. I'm going to just take a week to like, just focus on getting Henley ready for school She starts kindergarten and this little one here — hopefully, fever free."

Otis has also been candid about her marriage and body positivity in the past. Earlier this month she opened up about how at first, she thought she married "the wrong guy," and previously she's gotten real with fans about her post-baby and bikini body.
