Janelle Monae, Morris Chestnut, Yara Shahidi named speakers for CultureCon 2024 in New York City
CultureCon returns to New York City for another high-powered weekend of networking, collaboration and community building among multicultural creatives, entrepreneurs, and influencers. This year’s event will be hosted at the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Duggal Greenhouse October 5-6.
“In a world that often overlooks the richness of our stories, we gather not only to uplift our culture but to empower each other to dream bigger and bolder,” said CultureCon founder Imani Ellis, in a press release. “With the rise of the creator economy, it’s essential that we harness our unique narratives and talents to redefine industries and build sustainable futures.”
CultureCon 2024 promises to be the biggest iteration of the event, to date, with a star-studded lineup of speakers and presenters. Actors, singers and creatives including Morris Chestnut, Janelle Monae, Anika Noni Rose, and Tyler James WIlliams, Cyntha Erivo, Yara Shahidi, stylist Law Roach and more are slated to give insights on their creative process.
Interactive brand installations will also return for this year’s convention. Max hosts a VIP lounge in promotion of the new series “The Penguin,” featuring actor Rhenzy Fellz. McDonald’s will host their Change of Fashion program highlighting Black designers in the fashion industry and Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka will close out CultureCon with a campfire party.
Verizon will lead a workshop on scaling personal brands, and Shea Moisture will provide resources for businesses through their “Business That Bonds” initiative. Other key brands like Netflix, Prime Video, Chase Ink. and Clinique will offer interactive experiences, from panels on music and TV to beauty activations.
