Jenna Ortega’s custom Harris Reed peplum gown is her best 'Beetlejuice' look yet
Jenna Ortega knows how to serve preppy gothic perfection thanks to her star turn as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series centred on the spooky teenager. So, when it was confirmed she'd be joining another creepy franchise in the long-awaited sequel to the '80s comedy horror, Beetlejuice, you could say we were more than a little excited.
With the film's promotional press tour finally kicking off, we're happy to confirm we have not been disappointed. For her Beetlejuice Beetlejuice tour-drobe, Jenna has delivered a masterclass in method dressing. Think: pinstripe-obsessed CEO 🤝🏻 Wednesday Addams 🤝🏻 preppy goth.
Her on-theme outfits have stuck to an almost exclusively black and white colour palette, in reference to Beetlejuice's monochrome striped suit. She's also recreated one of Winona Ryder's actual costumes from the OG movie, the attention to detail second to none.
ICYMI, Jenna’s been collaborating with her longtime stylist Enrique Melendez on these looks, who – back in 2023 – told Vogue UK, “We’ve been working together since 2016, when she was 14, and it’s such a joy to see her in her element now. Initially, when we met, I was like, ‘How am I supposed to dress someone so young?’ But once we got to know each other, I began to understand her mind and the brands that work for her, and it just blossomed into what it is today: a true collaboration. And as she gets older, she doesn’t hold back on what she really wants – I love that.”
He added, “She used to let me put her in lots of frilly pieces with girlish details, but now she’s stepped into her modern yet glamorous era.”
Check out the best looks from the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice press tour, and yes, obviously we’ll be adding to this list as Jenna continues to ~step out~ and ~stun~.
