Jennifer Garner’s Easy-Peasy Outfit Combo Is Perfect for the Holidays

You might think a great outfit requires a lot of effort. And that can certainly be the case—think layered looks and those more maximalist leaning getups. There’s dimension! There’s boldness! There’s intrigue! But, sometimes you don’t want to spend too much time piecing something together. It’s the time of year when putting in effort becomes even harder (just me?), and that’s why I’m utterly obsessed with Jennifer Garner’s easy-peasy winter-perfect combo that’s so comfy and cute.

The actress is known to take a low-key approach with her looks. She leans toward classic overalls and easygoing jackets, but her latest outfit is the perfect combo of both: It’s equal parts classic and stylish but simple, and that’s why it’s a must-have for this season and beyond.

Garner opted for a foolproof two-piece combo: an olive-green sweater and black skinny jeans, a.k.a the controversial denim style that she’s worn before. A knit is a no-brainer for this time of year, as it’s cozy and cuddly, but depending on the silhouette you choose, it can also look incredibly chic (just like Garner’s). Her sweater was more fitted than oversized, and I say don't knock it until you try it. I certainly prefer a baggy sweater over anything else, but after seeing Garner’s olive-green option, with its ribbed neckline, hemline, and sleeves, I’m curious to trade out my oversized picks.

The main lesson? A cozy, cute outfit doesn’t need to take you hours to put together. And seeing as the holidays are near, and we’ll be spending lots of lazy days inside—that’s just what the doctor (err, fashion editor) ordered.
