Jennifer Lawrence made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Oscars after six years of skipping Hollywood's biggest night, and her look made it well worth the wait. Lawrence (who has an Academy Award of her own) arrived Sunday evening wearing a glamorous look fit for Audrey Hepburn. The black-and-white strapless polka-dot Dior gown had a floor-skimming skirt and an asymmetric attached shawl that wrapped around her shoulders. J. Law finished off the look with a dainty diamond necklace and matching bangle.

Lawrence's blonde hair was slicked off her face and styled in a deep side part. For glam, Lawrence added a thick black liner, fringed lashes, and a glossy peach lip.

Prior to the big show, Lawrence was seen rehearsing for her role as presenter alongside other big names who are taking the stage during the ceremony including Al Pacino, Lupita Nyong'o, Steven Spiel, and Zendaya, per E!.

Lawrence most recently attended the prestigious ceremony in 2018, during which she wore a striking gunmetal sequin Dior gown with a bustier neckline, a drop waist, and a pleated skirt. Platinum blonde crimpy waves and an extreme cat-eye liner completed her look that night.

The actress has been nominated four times herself and took home the trophy for Best Actress in 2013 for her role as Tiffany in Silver Linings Playlist. In a move on par with Lawrence's beloved relatable demeanor, the star tripped up the stage stairs when on her way to accept her award.

“You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and that’s really embarrassing, but thank you,” she hilariously joked, per Variety. “This is nuts.”

She also received nods for her films Winter's Bone, American Hustle, and Joy.

Although she isn't nominated tonight, the star was recognized during the 2024 Golden Globes for No Hard Feelings. As the nominees were announced, the camera panned to show Lawrence's now-viral moment when she mouthed, "If I don't win, I'm leaving."
