Jennifer Lawrence wore something old to Amy Schumer's wedding

Jennifer Lawrence might misunderstand the whole “something old” concept. For Amy Schumer’s surprise nuptials, the Hunger Games star wore a dress she’s worn before. And this isn’t the first time she’s recycled a dress for a wedding.

Lawrence stepped out in a darling pink frock for Hollywood Reporter’s 2017 Women In Entertainment breakfast in December. The Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini dress features a pleated midi skirt and bodice, with a black band around the waist separating the two. Black buttons go from the band all the way up the neck, forming a conservative mock turtleneck. The girly gown the first time knocked style fans off their feet — and no one seemed to mind seeing it again on Tuesday at Schumer’s wedding.

Knowing better than to just rock the same exact look twice (fashion police can be petty), she reinvented the outfit by leaving the buttons open and swapping the black pumps she wore the first time for peep-toe lace-up wedges. She also gave the look a less feminine feel with vampy accessories including a black choker.

Repeating a dress for a wedding is usually a no-no because of all the pictures. But the glee of finding a dress so nice you just have to wear it twice is totally understandable.

Apparently, this is just what Lawrence does for weddings. In May 2016, the Red Sparrow star wore an ice blue slip-dress dress to her best friend’s wedding that she debuted less than a week before when appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She even accessorized the look with the same The One I Love NYC diamond-drop choker that she originally wore it with. And while she switched up the shoes, they had the same strappy style.

Lawrence’s lack of waste is just another reason to love her.
