Jennifer Lopez "Liked" a Not-So-Cryptic Instagram Quote After Alex Rodriguez Split

This week, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez officially announced that they are broken up. And while the former baseball pro is mourning the loss of their love (J.Lo shrine and all), Lopez is seemingly taking the opposite approach to the news.

On the same day that the former couple confirmed that they were no longer engaged, the "On The Floor" singer double-tapped a telling breakup quote by author Reuben Holmes, who goes by r.h. Sin, on Instagram. "Don't make her think you care. when you have never given a f--k about her," the post read, and alongside the quote, Holmes wrote: "Don't let them manipulate you. How many times have you been told 'I love you' by someone who has continued to treat you like s—t?"

Once fans realized Lopez "liked" the not-so-cryptic message, questions about really happened between J-Rod began to flood the comments section. "Uh oh, jlo liked this post?! What's going on!" one user exclaimed, while another wrote: "Damn, @jlo this shows me really nobody is safe from bs like this."

On Thursday, Lopez and Rodriguez declared they were calling it quits romantically, but revealed that they were still "friends."

"We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so," they said in a joint statement. "We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another's children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support."

Lopez and Rodriguez began dating in 2017, and were engaged two years later. Initial breakup reports began to surface last month, and now it appears as if they've ended things once and for all.
