Jeremy Strong's Richard Mille Watch Has Strong Kendall Roy Energy
Can a method actor ever really detach from a character? Not if Jimmy Kimmel has anything to do with it. On his talk show on Tuesday night, Jeremy Strong was asked to give his analysis of recent news around the Murdoch family's fraught succession plans. After all, he has first-hand experience of this stuff.
“When I read that about the Murdochs – who I feel great empathy for what they’re going through as a family, having inhabited an adjacent world to that for seven years – my feeling is I take that really seriously,” the Succession actor said. “I’ve been accused of taking it seriously, I do take it seriously.”
Jeremy Strong takes a lot of things seriously, including his watches. That night, he was sporting the very same timepiece that Kendall Roy wore in series four – a serious piece of horology, indeed.
Arriving to the set in the same look he wore on-screen (no judgement here! Just out of the ordinary!) the 45-year-old actor wore a Richard Mille RM 67-01 Automatic Extra Flat, a more reserved piece from the brand – a design that whispers instead of shouts. Its CRMA6 movement is left open on the back and front, giving the slim watch added depth. This, plus its wearability, are just two reasons why collectors love it.

Strong is no stranger to Richard Mille, having sported the RM UP-01 watch at this year’s Met Gala. At just 1.75mm thick, the style set the record as the thinnest watch in the world back when it was released in 2022. Coming in a space rocket shade of white and with a futuristic silhouette, it's a particularly flashy watch for a particularly flashy night.
Of course, Strong has undertaken new roles since his Succession days – most notably, playing Roy Cohn in The Apprentice, for which he’s nominated for a Golden Globe – yet sartorially, it seems that Kendall has left a lasting memory. After all, who could forget about Little Lord Fuckleroy?
