Last night, Jessica Simpson stepped out to attend the Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City — and while her purpose for being there was all business (she was receiving the Icon Award, after all), her dress was ready to party.

Looking like she was about to ring in the New Year, the singer-slash-actress slipped on one of the glitziest naked gowns ever to exist. The see-through floor-length dress was covered in crystals from head to toe, but was still sheer enough to show off her nude lingerie and a pair of metallic platform heels underneath. She added even more sparkle to her ensemble with diamond drop earrings and a smattering of glittery rings that accented her silver-manicured nails. Simpson wore her signature long blonde hair down in loose waves with a middle part, and completed her glam with a classic combo of smoky eye makeup and nude lip gloss.

Jessica was joined on the red carpet by her mom, Tina Simpson, who is president of her daughter's namesake fashion brand.

At the ceremony, Simpson was honored with the Icon Award for creating "one of fashion’s longest-running success stories" with her billionaire-dollar company, which she bought back from partner Sequential Brands Group in 2021. “I am honored that my spirit has connected with people who need it in ways that are obvious and ways that are more subliminal,” Simpson said in a statement shared with People ahead of the event. “The fact that Footwear News is bestowing that title on this gal from Texas helps to illuminate the path ahead.”

As for regaining control of her brand, Jessica says it makes success that much sweeter. “The most rewarding thing is knowing everything we do is now for us and our team,” she told Footwear News. “We’re doing everything. We’re making every investment and putting forth all effort, every sacrifice. It’s for the brand.”
