Jill Biden Gives Power Dressing a Wintry Spin With Cape Coat at the White House Alongside President Joe Biden and Grandson Beau Biden Jr.

Jill Biden continued to showcase apparel choices from her wintertime-inspired wardrobe upon arrival to the White House in Washington, D.C., on Thursday. The U.S. first lady was joined by her husband, President Joe Biden, and the couple’s 4-year-old grandson Beau Biden Jr. The Bidens returned to the White House following a trip to Delaware, where the family attended a memorial service commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the death of the president’s first wife and daughter.

The first lady wrapped herself up in a black cape coat, which she wrapped around her shoulders. The look featured a long silhouette with a warm, lined interior. Beneath the long-sleeve, elegant winter coat, Biden continued her monochrome motif.

The first lady wore a black suit and completed her look with a pair of black pointed-toe heels. As for her glam, Biden’s blond tresses were styled with soft curls and her makeup featured a hint of a smoky eye.

Biden’s all-black ensemble is a departure from her recent glittering looks she’s worn for holiday-affiliated occasions at the White House. On Monday, the first lady, her husband and second gentleman Doug Emhoff commemorated the Jewish holiday Hanukkah with a special service at the White House.

Prior to the Hanukkah service, Biden got into the Christmas spirit on Dec. 13 with a Toys for Tots event held at the White House for children whose parents serve in the military.

Biden looked to cozy, wintertime dressing and festive inspiration for her attire at the family-oriented affair. The first lady wore a cream knit dress by Gabriela Hearst, which featured a flattering collar and small buttons. She paired the collared knit dress with a shimmering silver blazer by Veronica Beard.
