As if being pregnant isn’t already enough to think about, soon-to-be-mom Jillian Harris recently got called out after posting a picture of her drinking a coffee last week.

“Today has been rough because I posted a picture of me this morning in the car with a cup of coffee and then later on I posted another pic of a coffee and all of these people are like ‘You shouldn’t be drinking so much caffeine,’” Harris, 36, told People.

“I’m like, well, first of all, it could be decaf. Second of all, I stopped drinking alcohol, I stopped partying, I don’t do Botox anymore … I’m going to drink my damn coffee!”

The two posts received nearly 200 comments, most advising the pregnant star that drinking so much coffee was endangering her baby.

“I’m not an idiot. I’m not stupid, I’m a grown adult. I think I know what’s right and what’s wrong.”

While Health Canada does advise women to cut down coffee consumption during pregnancy, cutting it out entirely isn’t necessary.

“Health Canada recommends that women of reproductive age consume no more than 300mg of caffeine per day,” which works out to roughly one to two cups.

While this isn’t the first time the former Bachelorette has been called out for risky behaviour during her pregnancy – followers have also suggested she stop dying her hair – she felt the need to vent her frustration.

“It’s funny because I don’t like people telling me what to do,” she says. “But then I have to remember that most of the people that are following me are doing it because it comes from a place of love and they’re just trying to show me that they care, so I try to take a step back and say, ‘Thank you so much for your advice, I’ll remember that.’”
