Joanna Gaines Fans Can't Agree on Her Latest Decorating Decision
For Fixer Upper fans, Joanna Gaines can do no wrong. Whether she's renovating a lake house, updating a hotel or working in her own Waco, Texas, home, the Magnolia maven has an incredible talent for design. Still, her legion of fans can't seem to agree on her latest decorating decision.
Joanna took to Instagram at the end of December to reveal that she had already taken down her Christmas tree! She shared a video of her removing some plants from her greenhouse and wrote, "Robbing my greenhouse of plants bc my house seems so naked now without my 🎄🎄🎄🎄"
Fans had serious thoughts about Joanna's decision to take down her tree so soon after Christmas, and shared them in the comments section.
"Mine is up, and will stay up until Candlemass. Also, the month of January have almost 5 weeks this year, seeing the Christmas tree with some lights on only during that long month helps the mood agains these long nights."
"Why does everyone take it down so quickly?"
"Girl you do what you gotta do 😂"
"I hear ya. I just finished taking the decorations down, and it's so boring now. I need glitter, lol"
"That’s the only thing I hate about live trees! I’ve had some that barely made it to Christmas Day. I usually leave all the rest of my decorations up, but sometimes the tree has to come down early whether I want it to or not 😭"
Many Christians believe that the time to take down your tree is 12th Night, or the evening before the Epiphany, which falls on January 6. Others believe that Candlemas, which falls on February 2, is the correct time. Still, there are plenty of good reasons to take down your tree early, especially if you have a live tree, which can become a fire hazard. Of course, the decision is ultimately up to you!
Either way, we love seeing this glimpse of Joanna's life at home and are going to follow her lead and pick up some new houseplants!
