Joanna Gaines Catches Fans Off-Guard with Candid Workout Video: "Putting This Out There"

It should come as no surprise that Joanna Gaines has an active lifestyle. Between starring on TV shows, running several businesses, and being the mom to five busy kids, it seems like she's always on the go. Still, the Fixer Upper star admitted that working out is not typically a part of her routine...until now!
Jo shared a fun glimpse into her fitness routine where she's been focusing on pushups. She explained, "For the first time in our marriage, Chip and I decided to work out together. We started working w/ our friend @donsaladino in September and when he asked me to do push-ups on our first day I said, 'I can't. My back.'"
The 46-year-old shared a video to prove that, with hard work and determination, anything is possible—including doing 50 pushups! Joanna dances in the candid video and winks at the camera in between repping out pushups from the floor and then from a pair of dumbbells. Joanna wears Hoka sneakers and black joggers for workout session.
She wrote, "A few months in and I've never felt stronger. Today I did FIFTY push-ups! So I'm celebrating and putting this out there... I've let time, age, injury, and busyness be my excuse of why not to workout. I'm finally over the 'it's too hard' hump and I'm ready to go! Who's with me?!"
While Joanna's fans are accustomed to find inspiration in her designs, now she's motivating them to get to the gym too. They left messages like, "You look amazing. Well done. But, i love the way you say that you and Chip have decided to work out together, but Chip is nowhere to be seen. Lol 🤣" and "Heck yes!!! So strong - way to go!!!"
Designer Brian Patrick Flynn chimed in with, "i can’t stop watching this, in the best way ever! 💪🏻👏🏻🥇"
While the comments were overwhelmingly positive, Joanna managed to find one detractor in her teenage son, Drake, who wrote, simply, "Mom no…."
We hate to disagree with Drake, but it's a resounding "yes" from us!
