Joanna Gaines Throws Her Son the Perfect Dinosaur and Kite Themed Birthday Party
Joanna Gaines has plenty of experience throwing over-the-top birthday parties for her five children. Her background in design helps no doubt, but her most recent extravaganza takes the cake for the best Gaines kid party ever!
Joanna and Chip's youngest son, Crew, celebrated his sixth birthday with a dinosaur fossil dig and kite themed party – per his request. Joanna followed the baby of the family's instructions to the letter, pulling off an impressive all-day celebration.
Crew woke up to the family farmhouse decorated with earth-toned balloons, presents, and dinosaur and kite decor, before heading out on his very own dinosaur hunt. Pint-sized party guests joined Crew for an afternoon filled with a sand dino dig, kite flying, and cake. Each party guest looked the part with their safari hats, magnifying glasses, field notes, and dig kits.
Joanna shared a video of Crew's day of birthday fun, featuring all of the activities and a closer look at the decorations and cake with a kite-flying birthday dino topper. "SIX years old! He asked for a Dino fossil dig and kite' party😊🦕🪁🦕🪁🦕🪁," she wrote on Instagram.
Fans jumped in to applaud the Fixer Upper star's party planning expertise. "Wow this is amazing!! Along with Crew, Joanna and Chip Gaines share four other children: Drake, 19, Ella, 17, Duke, 16, and Emmie, 14. Crew's older sibling may not still want a birthday party this playful, but luckily Joanna still have the baby of the family to provide some whimsy to her day-to-day decorating duties. Happy 6th birthday, Crew!
