'Because we're fun!': Jillian Harris on why Canadians always make it so far on 'The Bachelor'

It's nearly impossible to be a "Bachelor" fan without noticing the string of Canadians who manage to win over the show's lead, season after season. From Kaitlyn Bristowe and Vanessa Grimaldi to Serena Pitt and Jillian Harris, Bachelor nation can't seem to resist the good ol' Canadian charm. When asked why she thinks that is, Alberta-born Jillian Harris laughs as she says, "I think that we're just fun."

"[Canadians] are fun and real, and we just embrace ourselves," the mother-of-two tells Yahoo Canada over a video chat. For better or for worse, "we don't try to put on a front. Canadians are fun."

It's been more than a decade since Jillian Harris was handing out roses of her own as the Bachelorette, and yet, 11 years later, she remains a fixture in Canadian media, mainly because, well, she's so much fun.

Known for her stints on "Love or List It Vancouver," "Canada's Handyman Challenge," and of course, "The Bachelor/Bachelorette," Jillian Harris was able to turn her brief reality TV appearances into a decade-long career both on and off the screen.

In addition to her many on-camera accolades, the interior designer and content creator can now add a third Joe Fresh collaboration to her list of accomplishments.

Available online and in stores on Oct. 5, her limited-edition fall capsule collection features over 20 different items for women and children, including an update on the famed Jilly Jacket.

"The faux fur jacket is what inspired it all," the Kelowna-based entrepreneur tells us. "A few of the pieces are inspired by those I have from Joe Fresh that are 15 years old. The fur jacket, [for example], I wear every single winter."

Harris says it was important that the collection be inclusive of both size and price and for the pieces to be "timeless."

"The [polka dot print] reminds of Pretty Woman. It's just such a classic, iconic print," she says. "Jackie O wore prints like this. These are all things I could imagine wearing for the next 10 years."
