Johnny Cash's Son Just Posted a Cryptic Instagram About Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire

From Country Living

  • Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood were spotted together in a photo posted to Instagram by John Carter Cash on November 4.

  • Fans were quick to comment with speculation about what kind of project the two iconic county artists could be working on.

Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire are both known for their undeniable country hits (I mean, who doesn't know all the words to "Fancy" or "Before He Cheats"?), but fans were treated to a bit of a secret surprise when the two artists were featured in a mysterious Instagram post from John Carter Cash.

John Carter Cash is, of course, the son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, and maintains "Cash Cabin," as a recording space for artists. He posted a photo of Carrie and Reba together at the cabin, along with a very cryptic, simple caption: "@reba @carrieunderwood at @cash_cabin."

Fans quickly jumped to the comments section to question what the photo could mean. One person hinted, "I love a good #secretproject 👌," while another added "A collaboration with Reba and Carrie?? Sounds like a recipe for an incredibly successful project I mean #secretproject."

A few other commenters chimed in with even more enthusiasm, adding "My heart just stopped beating! I love these two together 😭😭😭" and "Ooooh, color me intrigued. XOXO💖😎"

This wouldn't be the first time these two have come together for some musical magic—Carrie performed a tribute to Reba during her epic medley of old-school country hits on the ACM awards earlier this fall. We know Reba has been busy preparing to host the CMA Awards on November 11.... But Carrie was mysteriously left off of the list of CMA performers, so could this perhaps be the reason?

Only time will tell!
