Jonathan Bailey Teases Bridgerton Season 4 Return: ‘I’ll Always Pop Back’
Undoubtedly, one of the most loved couples to arise from Regency-era romance and cultural phenomenon Bridgerton is Viscount Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma. Played by Jonathan Bailey and Ashley Simone, the n0w-married made brief appearances in season three of the Netflix period drama, then ultimately left to live in India together.
To the disappointment of many fans, it looked as though both actors would not reappear in the future seasons of Bridgerton. However, Bailey confirmed that his character will be in the upcoming season, even, if only for a brief moment.

During a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the 36-year-old actor announced that fans can expect to see him as the Viscount once again.
'Gonna reunite with the family next week,' he stated. Production for filming season four began in September of this year, and is expected to continue on for another eight months.
When speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he asked if he ever gets tired of Bridgerton, Bailey said: 'No. Well, it changes every year — every two years. What an amazing thing to be a part of.' He also took the time to voice support for the forthcoming new cast members, that being Luke Thompson and the more recently announced Yerin Ha – season four’s focal point couple. 'There’s gonna be lots of space for new people to come in, and Luke and Yerin are gonna be great. So I’ll always pop back and say hello.'
Similarly, Bailey’s co-star Ashley also confirmed that she would also be returning to the hit show. During an interview with Glamour UK, the actor stated, 'I know that I am returning, but that’s all I can say.'
While the details of the couple’s return have not yet been revealed, it is thought that viewers can potentially expect to see the continuation of their relationship, as well as their growing family. Season 4’s main plot line will follow Benedict (played by Thompson), and his love story with the cryptic 'Lady in Silver' maid, Sophie Baek (Ha). It is an adaptation of Julia Quinn’s An Offer From A Gentleman, the third novel in the Bridgerton series.
Still, we’ll see Bailey sooner rather than later, in pop culture juggernaut Wicked, playing Fiero alongside Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.
