While Dune: Part 2 has been generating plenty of buzz—including the film's NSFW-looking promotional popcorn bucketJosé Andrés is speaking out about an unexpected cooking opportunity inspired by the movie.

In a viral TikTok from Bon Appétit, celeb chef José Andrés was bummed that the Arrakis never thought to grill the sandworms and said he would personally "love" to try them.

"I understand it's a semi-sacred thing, but it kills people, too," he said. "A little steak on the grill... Imagine! This has to taste so good."

"Shai-Hulud on the grill? Turns out chef @José Andrés spent part of #Dune2 wondering why nobody was slicing off a fillet of sandworm to feed the crowds on Arrakis," read the caption in the video.

Naturally fans were quick to the comment section with their thoughts. "I’d love to eat that worm is literally the most Spanish thing I’ve ever heard," one user wrote. "All I can picture is a nice lil grilled portobello worm burger," another person added.

"This is the greatest commentary on dune yet," a third person chimed in.

While Andrés worm craving might seem a little out there, he's not the first person to think of it. In fact, there's an entire Reddit page dedicated to the subject. In the thread, titled "Are sandworms edible," users discussed eating Shai-Hulud. "Just thinking about it, they [basically] eat sand and plankton," the original author wrote.

"Maybe they're like blowfish where they have to be prepared just so or they'll poison you?" one commenter theorized, while another added, "I got the impression that sandworms are extremely dry, almost like machines, cause any water is a threat to them, right? Even moisture in the air. It would be like eating rocks."

"They are nearly impossible to kill so I think it is a moot point. Leto II discusses how his worm body can take a lasgun hit (seemingly the most powerful weapon)," a third user wrote. "I’d wager you could eat a worm in the same sense you could eat a beached whale - if you found it quickly after it died. But I can’t see a worm dying in a convenient place."

Your move, José.
