This 'And Just Like That...' Character’s Return May Reveal Carrie And Aidan’s Fate
The good news for fans of Sex and the City is that And Just Like That's third season is set to premiere later this spring. The slightly less exciting news is that all may not be as it quite seems in the Big Apple for our favourite hopeless romantic, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), and her new (old) beau, Aidan Shaw (John Corbett).
In the season two finale, Aidan was seen telling Carrie that, despite their reignited love, he needed to pause their frisson to focus on his children. 'The only thing that I love more than I love you is my boys. I made a commitment to them. But I won’t lose you again,' he said, before reiterating that the break would go faster than a click of his fingers.

Except fans have now deduced that that one moment may well have marked the demise of Carrie and Aidan as we've known them in their 2.0 era.
Showrunner, Michael Patrick King, confirmed in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that Aidan's ex-wife, Kathy (Rosemarie DeWitt), has reprised her role in the upcoming third season, which may well mean the end for Team Carrie-Aidan.
Those who watched the sophomore season will remember Kathy encouraging Carrie's rekindled flame with Aidan, before warning her not to hurt him. 'Because you know, it’s not just Aidan now. It’s my boys,' she told Carrie as they met over coffee.
'The Carrie-Aidan relationship is dramatic and exciting because it contains two points of view. I think half the fans who do not want Carrie to be in a relationship will be like, "Enough!" The other half will understand that when you love somebody, what comes with them is their family,' King told the outlet, before adding that he has no 'intention of torturing the audience.'
