'And Just Like That' Season 3 Could Be Coming As Soon As 2024
And Just Like That, the sequel series of the famed Sex and the City, wrapped its second season last month, and fans had to say a very hard goodbye to Carrie Bradshaw's rent-controlled apartment. And after seeing Samantha's very brief return and Che and Miranda's breakup, fans left the finale with a lot more questions than answers. Luckily, the blow of losing Carrie's epic West Village townhome has been slightly softened with the knowledge that everyone's favorite New York City girlies will return soon enough.
I wouldn't blame you if you're anxiously awaiting the next And Just Like That installment— there was so much left up in the air! Don't fret. Below, Women's Health has all the details on everything you can expect for season 3.
Is And Just Like That getting a season 3?
Yes! Last month, Variety confirmed that the revival series will, in fact, get a third season. In a statement announcing the upcoming season, a spokesperson for Max confirmed that the series was the "most-watched returning Max Original to date," per Variety. So, it makes sense that the network would renew another season.
Who will be in the AJLT season 3 cast?
It looks like the series regulars will all be returning—but there isn't too much info on the specifics just yet. Sadly, it doesn't look like Kim Cattrall will return at all for season 3, despite her cameo in the season 2 finale. The actress confirmed that her last appearance is about as far as she'll go when it comes to "returning" to the series, per CNN.
As for Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte, it feels pretty safe to say the girl squad is coming back for more. Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis are all executive producers of the show, so my guess is they wouldn't bow out just yet. After all, it wouldn't be And Just Like That without them!
It's also likely that major side characters like Che Diaz (Sarah Ramirez) and Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) will return as well—but only time will tell.
Has AJLT season 3 started filming?
Nope. The latest season of And Just Like That won't start filming until the SAG-AFTRA strike ends, which just happened. Plus, once filming does start up again, you know your news feed will be flooded with pics of the ladies out and about in Manhattan, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for some classic Carrie Bradshaw style moments.
