People have some thoughts on Justin Bieber's Grammys look: 'Small child in grown man’s suit vibes'

All eyes were on Justin Bieber at the 2022 Grammys — but not for the right reasons.

Justin, who was nominated for eight Grammys, and his wife, Hailey, took the red carpet by storm when they arrived together, both rocking their own distinct signature styles.

Hailey looked ethereal in a minimalist strapless Saint Laurent gown, while Justin opted for an oversized Balenciaga suit and a pair of $1,190 CAD/$950 USD platform Crocs from the latest Balenciaga x Crocs collaboration.

Fans online weren't loving the looks, while many people online were particularly confused by Justin's choice of outfit.

"You’d think that a guy like Justin Bieber who has spent much of his career trying to be taken seriously as an adult performer wouldn’t want to look like a little boy trying on his daddy’s clothes," one Twitter user shared.

"Losing it over how dumb Justin Bieber looks at the Grammys," shared another.

Many Twitter users also called out Justin's resemblance to David Byrne's giant oversized suit, which he wore during the Talking Heads' 1983 tour.

While Justin's red carpet look was a definite risk, the star didn't keep it around for long.

Once the Biebers headed into the awards ceremony, Justin was spotted without the suit jacket and Matrix-inspired sunglasses — though the hot pink toque remained.

The Grammys mark the couple's first major appearance since Hailey was hospitalized last month due to "stroke like symptoms."

"On Thursday morning, I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke like symptoms and was taken to the hospital," she wrote. "They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours."

"Although this was definitely one of the scariest moments I've ever been through, I'm home now and doing well, and I'm so grateful and thankful to all the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me!" she added.

Justin later addressed fans in concert once Hailey had returned home, saying, "Obviously you guys know, most of you probably know or seen the news about my wife, not sure if you guys seen. She’s OK, she’s good. It’s been scary, you know, it’s been really scary but I know for a fact that God has her in the palm of his hands.”
