She hasn't had this color in years.

Quarantine-induced pink hair was one of 2020's biggest trends and it looks like Kate Hudson is taking the hue into 2021. In a post to her Instagram Story, Hudson joined the ranks of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt and debuted soft pink strands.

In her post, Hudson showcases her sons' xylophone and dance skills through everyone's favorite sparkly filter. And while the headbanging and music courtesy of Ryder Robinson Bingham Bellamy — and the callout to the London Symphony Orchestra — were all vying for the spotlight, Hudson's hair color stole the show. Done up in an easy, breezy braid, her pink ends were on full display, adding a fun, bubblegum-pink pop to her wavy hair.

While the color may look new and put her shoulder-to-shoulder with other celebs with rose-tinted hair, it's not Hudson's first time going pink. Back in October 2014, she used her hair as an homage to friends and family battling breast cancer, according to Allure. That time, she went more subtle, with a rose-gold ombré dye job, paying tribute to the pink ribbons traditionally used to commemorate breast cancer awareness.
