Kate and Meghan join procession for late Queen as coffin escorted to Westminster Abbey
The Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex joined the procession for the late Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday.
Behind the coffin walked the Queen’s four children in the procession: King Charles III, Andrew, The Duke of York, Anne, The Princess Royal, and Edward, The Earl of Wessex. They were joined by The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Sussex, Peter Phillips, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke of Gloucester, and The Earl of Snowdon.
The Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex followed the procession, travelling by car.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, joined Camilla, Queen Consort in one vehicle, whilst Meghan, Duchess of Sussex was joined by Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
The body of Queen Elizabeth II has been moved from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall in a procession through London on Wednesday, after Her Majesty died on Thursday 8 September, aged 96.
The procession to Westminster Hall started from Buckingham Palace at 2.22pm on Wednesday 14 September, where Her Majesty is to lie in wait in Westminster Abbey for four days, until her funeral on Monday.
Once the procession arrives at Westminster, there will be a short service led by the Archbishop of Canterbury and accompanied by the Dean of Westminster.
After, members of the Royal Family will depart by car, before lying in state begins at 5pm.
