Kate Middleton Gets Festive in Holiday-inspired Alexander McQueen Coat for ‘Together at Christmas’ Carol Service

Kate Middleton embraced the holiday spirit for the fourth annual “Together at Christmas” carol service on Friday at Westminster Abbey in London. The Princess of Wales was joined by members of the British royal family for the occasion and took holiday inspiration for her festive attire.

For the carol service, Middleton opted for one of her go-to designers, favoring a red, double-breasted coat courtesy of Alexander McQueen. The vibrant red coat featured black buttons on the cuff and front of the garment, along with a large black bow at the collar.

The Princess of Wales coordinated the long coat with a plaid skirt by Emilia Wickstead, along with a pair of black suede boots by Polo Ralph Lauren. When it came to her accessories, Middleton wore a bracelet by Halcyon Days and pearl drop earrings by Mulberry.

Middleton’s appearance at the “Together at Christmas” carol service, at which the Princess of Wales also served as host, is her latest public outing since completing chemotherapy treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer. More recently, the Princess of Wales joined her husband, Prince William to welcome the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his wife Sheikha Jawaher to London for their state visit to the U.K. on Tuesday.

For the daytime event, Middleton also opted for a look by Alexander McQueen wearing a bespoke burgundy coat from the fashion label. She also wore a double-breasted chocolate Alexander McQueen coat last October while visiting Southport Community Centre with her husband.

The Princess of Wales’ ties to the Alexander McQueen label extend more than a decade. For her April 2011 wedding to Prince William, Middleton wore a gown designed by Sarah Burton, the former creative director of Alexander McQueen.
