Kate Middleton recycled some of her favourite wardrobe items to mark her return to Wimbledon.

On Friday, the Duchess of Cambridge attended the prestigious sporting event for the first time since 2019, after COVID-19 led to the cancellation of last year's event.

The 39-year-old royal arrived in style for day five of the tournament, ready to get to work behind-the-scenes of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Middleton, an avid tennis fan, joined British tennis player Tim Henman to watch a match on the outer courts before taking her place in the Royal Box at centre court alongside Queen Elizabeth's cousin, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.

The sunny day at Wimbledon provided ample opportunity to dust-off a pair of her tried and true Ray-Ban sunglasses that she's worn since 2018. The matte black rubber "Youngster" style feature square, nylon frames and grey polarized lenses that block 99 per cent of reflected light to eliminate glare and minimize eye glare.

While there's typically no traditional dress code for Wimbledon, Evian, the tournament's official sponsor, encouraged all celebrity guests to opt for eco-friendly looks. According an Evian directive, high-profile guests are asked to wear looks from sustainable brands or recycle and re-wear their favourite wardrobe pieces.
