Kate Middleton’s Secret Wedding Comment to Prince William Is Going Viral on TikTok
Remember 2011? Truly, me neither, but one haunting memory does ring a bell: waking up at an ungodly hour to watch the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. These two got married on April 29 of that fated year, and it was…extravagant, to say the least. And now—just shy of their 12-year wedding anniversary—a clip of Kate and Wills’s extremely sweet post-wedding convo is going viral on TikTok (via Newsweek).
The moment in question involves Kate and William chilling in their royal carriage (normal activity for normal people), when—according to lip-readers—William tells his new wife, “You look happy,” and she shoots back, “Yes!” before asking, “Are you happy?” He then muses, “Yes, very,” and honestly, the whole thing is just very sweet so here ya go:
William and Kate tend to be pretty private about their relationship, but they did answer some personal questions in a post-engagement interview, when William chatted about how they started dating.
“When I first met Kate, I knew there was something very special about her,” he said. “I knew there was possibly something that I wanted to explore there. We ended up being friends for a while and that just sort of was a good foundation. Because I do generally believe now that being friends with one another is a massive advantage. And it just went from there.”
Meanwhile, Kate mused, “I actually think I went bright red when I met you and sort of scuttled off, feeling very shy. But we did become very close friends from quite early.”
