Katie Holmes Elevates Her Off-Duty Look With A Statement Teddy Bear Coat
If there’s one thing Katie Holmes prioritises, it’s comfort. Like many New Yorkers this past holiday weekend, she bundled up to keep cozy in the cool weather, and she relied on some of her favourite pieces to create one of her signature eclectic looks.
On Saturday, the actor was spotted running errands around New York City – perhaps en route to the Barrymore Theatre for another performance of Our Town, the Broadway revival in which she stars. She kept warm in a black teddy coat with caramel suede details, which she wore last weekend to the theatre, although this time she kept the outerwear buttoned up to the top.

Underneath, Holmes wore a slouchy black turtleneck and loose black trousers, styling her look with a chunky pair of white trainers. In hand, she carried one of her favourite styles as of late – a large grey suede bag – and she toted the purse by its short top-handles. In the other hand, she balanced a shopping bag with some aluminium foil sticking out, perhaps transporting some Thanksgiving leftovers. A glossy taupe manicure helped her look a little more polished as she made her way down the street with her hands full.
Elsewhere, the Rare Objects director accessorised with a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses, as well as a faded navy 'Canyons' baseball cap. After debuting a longer hairstyle earlier in the week week, she also tucked her brown locks away in a sleek ponytail. As Holmes demonstrates, there’s nothing wrong with keeping it low-key – and if in doubt, just add a statement coat over your look.
