Katie Holmes Looked Cozy-Chic in a Lingerie-Inspired Jumpsuit on the Red Carpet
Katie Holmes took a walk on the sexy side. The typically buttoned up mom wore a lingerie-inspired jumpsuit to the premiere of All We Had, which she directed and starred in, at the Napa Valley Film Festival Saturday.
Holmes looked supercozy in a silky black jumpsuit with white lace detailing at her hips, ankles, and neckline. The jumpsuit was almost strapless, with just one measly string around her neck holding the outfit up. The romper featured buttons down the torso and a cinched waist.
The slouchy jumpsuit to celebrate her directorial debut looked so comfortable, she could have fallen right into bed at the end of the night as if she were wearing her PJs. Well, as long as she kicked off the pointed-toe black heels with bows on the top. Even her hair was bed-head-chic, loose and tumbling down over one shoulder, with just the right amount of styling and frizz to achieve the perfect balance between fixed and free.
We love this undone look for the mother of one who seems to never be able to let her hair down. We’re much more accustomed to seeing the former Dawson’s Creek star in a sleek dress and peacoat, hair perfectly in place.
Recently though, she is letting loose when it comes to style, finally finding her voice in fashion.
At the Avra Madison grand opening in September, she looked laid-back in an off-the-shoulder cropped fuzzy sweater and wide-leg pants, and last summer she stepped out wearing a silver top and leather culottes.
So, it shouldn’t surprise you that she told Yahoo she admires Rihanna’s style.
