New First Lady Melania Trump is facing a great deal of criticism, particularly on social media.

It spans from comedian Chelsea Handler’s dig that Melania “can barely speak English”, to attacks against her 10-year-old son and even a ‘free Melania’ meme online following comments that she looked “miserable”.

And the latest message to Melania is from none other than Kelly Rowland, who joked on TMZ: “Blink twice, Melania, blink twice. Blink twice if you need help!”

So there are now rumours that Melania is hiring a team to deal it all, including appointing former Vogue staff member and Met Ball organizer Stephanie Winston Wolkoff as her chief strategist.

Wolkoff is also reportedly helping to interview candidates for Melania’ communications chief, social secretary and chief of staff, according to Page Six.

While Melania herself hasn’t commented on the online attacks, President Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen reportedly fired back at Chelsea Handler for insulting the First Lady: “Shame on Chelsea Handler for attacking our first lady in such a despicable manner.”

He added: “Don’t be fooled by her accent. Melania is bright and articulate. To be clear, our first lady speaks multiple languages, I believe five. How many languages do you speak, Chelsea?”

Whether you think the recent insults are harmless or not, Melania will certainly have to prepare herself for the harsh world of social media.
