Is the Everything Pot and Non-Stick Steamer worth it? My review

I put this pot to the test multiple times with various dishes and it has easily become the kitchen item I reach for the most.

My favourite go-to recipe involves preparing spicy ramen — with chicken and vegetable dumplings steaming in the top-tier steamer as the ramen cooks below.

The pot is also lightweight so it makes it extremely easy to strain water or move from one burner to another.

The lid is also designed to return moisture and flavour to all areas of cooking while being perfect for keeping things warm, simmering sauces and more. It features stem-release holes that prevent pressure build-up and lid rattling when you’re cooking. It's also extremely lightweight.

However, a notable drawback I've encountered is the limited space when attempting to cook pasta and steam vegetables for more than one person. The steamer occupies a significant portion of the pot, which doesn't allow for cooking a large amount of pasta at the same time. To work around this, I cook the pasta separately and steam the vegetables afterward, combining them all in the pot once both are ready.

When I made pasta for four people, I decided to steam the broccoli after I was done cooking the pasta and then add it all to the pot to mix in with the sauce and other vegetables once I was done.

Another consideration is how hot the handles of the pot get when cooking anything. The handles on the steamer do not get nearly as hot as the ones on the pot, so be careful when lifting the pot after it's been on the stove for a few minutes.

Despite these limitations, the pan's non-stick surface stands out, significantly contributing to easy cooking and cleanup. It helps the pot become an invaluable tool for preparing a diverse range of delicious dishes, making it a worthwhile addition to the kitchen despite a few considerations.

What people are saying

The Kilne Everything Pot seems to be a hit with shoppers. So far, it's earned a 5-star rating from shoppers, but the pot was recently released so not many people have tried it out yet.

"Lives up to all its hype. A joy to cook with and ease of a clean up," reads one Kilne review.

"I have literally used nothing but the Everything Pan and the Everything Pot for the last two weeks. Food cooks evenly with no sticking. Clean-up is a breeze. Love them," added another.

The verdict

I'm completely sold on this versatile pot, mainly because of its effortless cleaning process. Instead of having to clean multiple different items once I'm done cooking, this takes under 10 minutes to clean. The non-stick coating of the pan not only enhances its cooking performance but also makes the cleanup process a breeze.

I would recommend it if you're in search of a pot that can handle all your cooking needs. Especially if you live in a smaller space like a condo, this pot becomes the ideal replacement for up to 12 pieces of cookware that might be gathering dust or taking up unnecessary room.

The Everything Pot is offered in three distinct colours: Sage, peppercorn and meringue. For anyone with a passion for cooking or a chef in your life, this would be an excellent gift, especially for those who enjoy experimenting with new and versatile cookware.

That said, if you're cooking for multiple people or plan to use this in the oven, you may want to consider another brand — or at least know you may have to get creative.

That said, if you're on the fence, the Everything Pot and Non-Stick Steamer includes a 100-day home trial, free returns and a 10-year limited warranty — which might just change your mind.
